The affecting poems in Does the Earth push me toward an even greater listening, particularly to the mysteries of mothering. Solemn, righteous, and penetrating on every account, Meg Reynolds writes in an exuberant, melismatic style that spotlights a heavy joy in being present to her becoming in language that can only be described as profoundly alive. - Major Jackson, author of The Absurd Man
